TNT Basketball Academy's Female Team Wins 2026 Abuja City Basketball League

TNT Basketball Academy is celebrating another major win, as its female team claimed the title at the 2026 Abuja City Basketball League last Saturday.

The championship adds to what has become a banner stretch for the academy, coming on the heels of Nigeria's silver medal run at the FIBA U18 Women's AfroBasket, where TNT products Lawrence Becky and point guard Favor Aleje Sunday (Cecilia) represented the country alongside TNT assistant coach Murtala Abdullahi, and the academy's recent Red Bull 3x3 title in Lagos, which earned TNT the right to represent Nigeria in the Philippines.

Taking the Abuja City Basketball League crown on home turf is a strong statement from the TNT girls, reinforcing the academy's standing as one of the city's premier development programmes for female basketball talent. It's another marker of a programme producing results at every level, from local league play to continental and international competition.
